Tommorow my incubator will go into lockdown I have a question for when I will candle them for the last time do air cells grow even when the chick has died ?

The egg continues to lose water even if the chick dies, so the air cells continue to grow. If it still looks dark and full under the air cell that's a good sign. Sometimes you can still see veins. A dead embryo/chick sinks towards the narrow end of the egg and looks very black and lumpy. You won't see any veins and there will be a yellow watery layer between the dead chick and the air cell.

Good luck with your hatch.

Thank you I hope that all will go well
