I'm in Dahlonega, GA does anyone have a small chicken coop or something I can put my rooster in at night. If I can get it in my garage I can put him there at night. He's young, doesn't have spurs or long tail feathers yet. He's very friendly, just showed up a week ago. I guess I'll keep him. I had chickens before. I really miss them. Thanks Debbie

Did you have a coop before?
Might try asking in your state chat thread too.

Thank you all. My big coop is in Florida. I had to find homes for my flock. Luckily a family with 4 great kids took the whole flock and built them a nice coop and run. I thought I was out of the chicken arena. Now I have a rooster. I leave him outside most of the day and put him in a pen in the garage at night. I bought a bag of chick starter and I have bird seed. If he's going to stay I have to get a small coop. Is it wise to have one rooster? He's big and pretty, but he's kind of a weenie, not scary at all. I don't know what I should do. I feel sorry for him. Yes imI quite sure someone tossed him out. Why me?

This is a picture of Mr Rooster. I don't know what kind he is.

My pet chicken has a great selection and they ship super fast. A lot of them ship free too. TSC and Rural king also carry them in the spring or you can always get them from their website. They usually all need to be painted or sealed in some way but for what you need right now they would be perfect. I have 2 of the clubhouse coops from my pet chicken and I painted them white. I've had them for 2 years and they still look great. If you decide to add more chickens and eventually outgrow the coop they are great for brooding moms or as a sick chicken hospital.

Here are a couple of my prefab that I modified
