It can’t “recover.” Scissor beak is not fixable. I’ve never seen it this bad in a chick. It usually gets even worse as they grow.
I’m sorry for not being clear, I know it can’t fix it’s beak, but if it wasn’t eating a lot it might be nutrient deficient. It can’t “recover.” Scissor beak is not fixable. I’ve never seen it this bad in a chick. It usually gets even worse as they grow.
Ohhhh. Yes.I’m sorry for not being clear, I know it can’t fix it’s beak, but if it wasn’t eating a lot it might be nutrient deficient.
I agree with @TheOddOneOut . I have three crossbeaks, but they are no where near that bad. You would have to put an insane amount of work into keeping it alive, and even then it’s chances aren’t too high.I think this chick needs to be put down. This scissor beak is some of the worst I’ve ever seen. As it matures it will only get worse. The beak will just get worse.
You can see how small it is. It’s siblings tower over it. It’s already wasting away. It can’t eat enough.
As someone who owns pet chickens, who understands how hard it might be, I’m saying I think it needs to have its suffering ended.
