~~Hello I'm new,
I bought a couple of week old chicks last Saturday, they were a little sluggish at first but by the next morning they were full of energy, eating, drinking and pooping just fine.
However early Monday afternoon one of the chicks started looking as though it was hiccupping. By the evening it was also having labored breath. I held it on my chest for a while and noticed that every third or fourth spasmy chirp, moisture was being coughed up. This little bird also was missing the fluff on its abdomen/backside and now it has an injury……..I think it got pecked.
It’s still eating and drinking and pooping. Is there anything that can be done or can I only wait and see if it rides it out?
Thank you.
