I have a bronze turkey that is about 3 months old. He is eating and drinking when he can make it to the feeder and waterer. He just lays around and is constantly panting. He does not move around much at all. He walks a couple of feet and just lays down. We have him as well as a bronze hen, a pair of white turkeys, ducks and our young chickens in the same pen. :"Thomas" seems to be the only one that is acting sick or affected by whatever this may be that is causing his problem. Is there a medication that i could give him or inject him with and are our other birds safe being in the same pen with him. Any information and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome to BYC!
I'm afraid I don't know enough about chicken/turkey disease to offer advice, but I'd suggest you isolate him. Whatever he's got may spread to the rest of your flock. Good luck!

You may want to post this in the Injuries and Diseases and in the Turkey sections of the forum

from Alabama. Glad you joined us. Just wondering, is it a Standard or a Broad Breasted Bronze? The Broad Breasted Bronzes grow very fast and can have leg problems because of that, so I wonder if that could be what's going on. Definitely try posting in the Turkeys section, though, I'm sure someone there can help. Good luck
