Okay I have a mixed cochin hen, and she has been broody for about 3 or 4 days, but I just put fake eggs under her to make sure she was broody before I stuck some real eggs under her. So today I decided to move her in the hutch with my other broody cochin. So I went out there to take her nest to the hutch and she jumped out and ran away. So I left for about an hour then came back and she was back on the nest. So I stuck something over the top of the nest and carried her to the hutch so I take off the top and she jumps out and runs away ...
So we had to chase her around the backyard and finely we catch her and I put her on the nest and shut then door. So I'm hopeing she'll settle down. I'll go out and check her in a minute to see if she is setting on the eggs, or not. So keep your fingers crossed for me!
