I have a wild bore hog and need tips on caring for him! I got him when he was one week old and my cousin found him and 5 others squealing for food and the momma hog had been shot and left a few feet away and dogs attacked them and he is the only one left out of six. He is about eight to nine months now.

P.S. I just found this site. TIPS WELCOME!

If hes only a week old hes gonna need milk replacer..or goats milk (not cows milk..) until hes weaned. keep him warm, but not hot...Dont let him get a chill...i dont think they can regulate their temps until a couple of weeks old.

We need baby pig pics!

Wait, I just need to clarify something. The hog is now 7-8 months old now, correct? It was a week old when it was found.

You would care for him, as you would any other hog. By the sound of it, you have a feral pig and not a wild boar(I think those are protected).

wait, he was a week and now 8 months? I guess keep doing what your doing.

Mayyaka city is where i got my goats from! Welcome to BYC. Maybe www.backyardherds.com might help better~

wolf kim, down here they go boar hunting all the time! Wild pigs are verywhere. they are gross and my daughter friends pull up with them dead in their truck.....YUCK! They aren't protected down here~ Totally gross pigs, yuck! They are black......
Just remember they are wild, even though you raised it DONT trust it! They kill people(males)
