Well I went out and caught 2 of my young girsl in a squabble over who was going to sit in the box.i am pretty sure they started breaking the eggs by oops, then found it was yummy, then it went downhill. i collected eggs a few times today so there were no eggs in the box to break thankfully!

thanks for the help everyone, I am going to get some golfballs to help too.

give them crushed oyster shells [ you can buy them ] and feed them, they give them strong eggs

We already do layer feed with oyster shell available in a seperate bucket all the time.The shells are nice and strong, no softies lately.
