Welcome to BYC! Based on your avatar, plus the ukulele, chickens running around the neighborhood, and the koi pond, would I be correct in guessing that you're from Hawaii? If so, Aloha! A Red Sex Link would be quite a catch, as most of the stray chickens running around in Hawaii are game chickens. Red Sex Links are laying machines and if she is a RSL, you should get lots of nice, large, brown eggs from her. Good luck on your new adventure.
No, I'm not from Hawaii, I WISH though. I have been told I would easily find work there tho even though I really don't play any Hawaiian music. I live in California in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Ok so still learning the board and rules. I guess there are language filters and I can't post a link to my YouTube but no prob. You can search Julie Vaughn on you tube to find my channel & videos if interested. :) and if you are easily offended by foul language (not fowl language) then don't listen to the song that you think might be about Chickens, cause it isn't. lol. Most of my songs are quite appropriate for general audiences. Thanks for all of the warm welcomes. I appreciate it. :)

No Michael I am not in Hawaii, I tried to answer in another post but it disappeared cuz I guess I tried to post a link. Maybe it will show up eventually. Anyway, I only wish I lived in Hawaii, maybe someday. I live in California in the Silicon Valley area about 45 minutes south of San Francisco (unless you are trying to go there in heavy traffic ;) )

Thanks. The learning center rocks. I keep trying to answer this but it keeps disappearing so may be multiples eventually. Still learning this site.

Hi Ukulele lady. I am a newbie to BYC having just joined yesterday. Beware as chickens are addictive. I started out with 12 last spring and we now have 84 birds. Good luck with your bird and I am sure you will end up with lots more.
