So yesterday i traded one of my girls for this rooster i suppose hes young because of his spurs but the real question is my hen started laying days ago. When can i expect chicks from her?,as well as do you suppose this rooster grows more because his brother is same as him just with a bigger crest and overall bigger so should i expect him to grow? Will his comb and waddles grow more ?
Ps.sorry for asking so many question but its just here in byc. Has helped me greatly to learn and solve chicken problems so thank you very much!

They continue to grow, will finish off by 18 months of age I'd think. How much he grows has to do with him, genetically speaking.

The pullet/hen has to accept him. If he's young a hen will not likely submit to mating until he's bigger or proves himself to her. Once mating does occur eggs will be fertile, should be being laid two days after first mating.

When you get chicks is up to you. You'll have to incubate fertile eggs unless you have a pullet/hen that broods in spring then you can put eggs under her. I don't recommend letting them build a clutch rather collect eggs everyday and if she goes broody put a dozen under her all at once. Mark them so you know she's not stealing other eggs laid after you set the inital dozen. Pull all unmarked eggs as they show up.

Ohhhhhh wow thanjs for all the info this helped so muccchhh

The hen from your other post is a sex link which are very unlikely to go broody and hatch chicks.
Hopefully you have a hen that is a more broody breed or an incubator.
Good luck!
