I have a flock of roughly 30 chickens, varying in age from 10mos to 2 yrs old. I have a few different breeds. what is happening is this: sometimes i'll go out
to check the flock, and i'll find one or two w/ their wings drooping and falling over when they walk. Some have died.(i found one dead a couple of days ago)
others i have put in a separate pen, and they seem to recover. The leghorns are particularly susceptible to whatever this is. Needless to say the aren't laying either.
I am currently treating them with antibiotics, just as i have been doing. Some breeds are certainly more to catch whatever this is and die. As i said ,leghorns are
susceptible, and I have lost 2 golden wyandottes(8 mos old). I've lost a leghorn rooster.(My other 2 roosters are fine.). I've also lost an aracauna, 3 rhode island reds,
and about 12 leghorn hens(i was sold some sick leghorns, all of these died but one. If some one can give me insight on this i wold appreciate it. For the most part my
original flock, save the rhode island reds, seem to be healthy. they just aren't laying.

I looked at the symtoms for Marek's Disease, when i first noticed the problem. It's something different. Now for the last few days, the hens i seperated
from the main group, have started laying, (including an Araucana, that got sick and recovered) This is more puzzling, since the hens in the main yard aren't doing
much i.e. an egg every other day or so. I've been treating them with Duramycin-10 powder mixed in their water. It's possible that a healthy looking hen could be spreading
something. But i do appreciate the suggestion. Any other opinions and suggestions from the group would be very much appreciated.
