I have finally found what I am REALLY good at......

Growing.......(drumroll please)





.................CRABGRASS.





For real, my hens won't lay, my garden won't grow, I mean, even my rooster won't crow. But, crabgrass, yep, I can do that amazingly well! I may even have to change my name from "Mac Momma" to "Queen of the Crabgrass". I feeling it, SWEET!

I wanted so badly to be producing something on this land I have, but so far, nothing useful, nada. Anybody else feeling the pains of trying to be more self reliant and falling flat?

I tried to have chickens and a garden, (yeah right) I tried to grow watermelon, tomatoes, banana peppers, they even ate my begonias. Actually, they started there, they ate my petunias, marigolds, they even try to jump up and eat my sunflowers.

How old are you chickens? Is there seriously a problem with them or are they just young?

I am so obsessive about my garden, the chickens have to stay in a coop/run situation. NO ONE TOUCHES THE GARDEN

Oh crabgrass. Such a pain. I hate the feeling of it. And it totally takes over our lawn too.

When I turn my chickens out, they better leave my tomatoes alone! They are off limits. I am hoping that in 7 acres they can find something else to eat besides my flowers and tomatoes....don't ruin it for me, please
