I have four chickens and have been getting 5 to7 eggs a day and would like to know why

It just started a few weeks ago, we'd usaully get 4 a day but now 5 to 7, why are they doing this?

Are you collecting daily? It's possible a couple of neighborhood (or feral ) chickens are sneaking into your coop, that's the only thing I can thing of

How many hens you have? I have 13 large fowl hens. I average 6 to 7 day. Now longer days warmers weather been getting more 7 to 8 day average. Some days only 5 eggs, some days 12.
My silkies have picked up and are laying more now.
Depends on what you feed them, daylight hours, weather, and more.

the only people who have chickens is our neighbor down the hill and i dont even think he has chickens rn and yes im collecting daily

we have 4 chickens lost the paper that was on the fridge that said what kind they were tho, i dunno if that messes anything

Are they production strain? Sometimes they'll give you two a day for a while.
