Amongst many other Animals this past month. I was thinking about selling them but I just sold the extra roosters and now I’m thinking two coops and twice the eggs maybe I will just hang on to these chickens for a minute. Maybe my best friend who lives in Reno will take them this summer until then I’m raking in the eggs!

How many chickens did you have originally, and how many did you add total now??
WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, :highfive:
I had a rooster and seven hens and this new flock had three roosters, seven hens, two ducks, two guineas and two meat chickens that are looking sad, uncomfortable and passed their due date. I got rid of the two younger roosters because they were ripping the feathers out of the hens and aggressive to other birds.

How do you like the ducks and guineas? I never had any of them. Reason,,,, Ducks need water pond witch I don't have or room to make one. (I know some peeps keep without pond or pool, but I only keep as pets) Guineas I heard will choose trees as night time quarters and then choose neighbors trees as well. I'm a city slicker with small grounds, so that would not work for me.

I love the ducks they are so cute! The guineas are alright. I was told they keep snakes away but they were tyrants until my rooster put them in their place which was strange to see because the rooster that I sold because he was ripping out the hens feathers was larger than my rooster and I watched the guineas drag him around by his neck. They definitely don’t sleep in the coop and they rarely stop making crazy jungle noises. Two is definitely enough.

well..guineas have their uses I've heard they will "mob" snakes to force them off the property and are supposed to be no.1 Tick killers, which is a bonus. You just have to have industrial strength ear protection. They screech even more when it mating season.
