Got off of work early today and purchased 9 more chics from 2 different feed stores! This chicken business is really addictive! I now have 20 chickens.
5 barred rock pullets/chics
5 rir pullets/chics
5 americauna pullets/chics
2 silkie pullet chics
1 americauna cockrel
2 rir hens ( they havent layed an egg in 2 weeks)

that's a lot of chickens. I have almost that many. i'm very anxious to get my numbers down. my magic number is somewhere around 10. I have all heavy breeds/dual purpose. one is a big australorp rooster whose days are numbered.
