I thought it was about day 26. I want my oven back, so I tried one of the eggs. The chick was maybe 2/3 full size, with about 1 tablespoon of yolk in the egg. It also turned out to be alive.

I feel terrible about that, but I'm also excited to think that these babies might survive all the troubles we've had.

I borrowed a friend's Little Giant incubator, but now I am in another quandry: Do I use the egg turner, or not? I haven't been turning the eggs (I figured keeping my mitts off was best) -- should I start? And can anyone help me guesstimate how far along these eggs might be?

i would keep turning them until you see a pipped egg. as soon as you do raise the humidity, lockdown the bator and wait for the hatch. i have had guinea eggs pip in the turner. i would say you have about 5 to 7 days to go.
