I have no idea what I am doing

Hey byc family. My lucky is getting feathers on his wings. All looks good but I'm reading too much and now I'm afraid of angel wing. I have been feeding him dumore starter grower with 20% protein. Is this too much protein?
Thanks for replying, I don't know about angel wing. I hope someone else answers that question for you. I am sure they will want a pic.

Steve, I feed mine 20% from hatch to lay... only rarely have I had angel wing and those were my cat food raiders, lol... angel wing is easy to correct, so don't panic if it does happen... but... yes, post a current pic...

That sounds like a question for. . . you guessed it @Ravynscroft

You totally beat me to it.

(Heaven help her if I ever get ducks like I keep threatening to do... :lau)

thanks. You know me, not happy unless I'm worried about something lol. I just wanted to make sure I shouldn't change to a lower protein now that he is getting wing feathers. Def not showing any signs I'm just trying to avoid a problem.

Oh, nice to see a pic of Lucky's new feathers! Duck people, will feather color tell us what sex Lucky is?
Even I know this one lol. Still too soon to tell until we get our adult feathers. Probably around 6 months??? Slight possibility of a curly feather at the tail that will be an early indication of male. I'm actually leaning towards female. Our lucky has been so increadibly vocal and even chirps while sleeping. The chirping is constant and rarely stops which I think is an indication of female but that may not mean anything either. I've read that people were certain they had males for months and then they started laying eggs lol. We will all have to wait and see. No way we are going to try the venting thing that looks terrible to do to our lucky.

Oh another question. We have been using weewee pads because he ate a little of the pine shavings. As of today lucky figured out that if you wet the pad it's easy to rip to shreds and there is some kind of gel inside the pad when it gets wet. I need to leave for work now and want to know if that could get him sick or should I just take the weewee pads away?
