I have no idea what I am doing

Pics
everything is crossed for you this baby! Just a little longer!
So its now been over 50-51 hours since external pip, correct? I just want to make a mental note for myself, for future reference.

have you picked a name yet?

:fl :fl :fl
Yes exactly 51 hours. I have not picked a name yet but it has to be something strong after everything its been through so far.

Is it a yolk sac or the waste sac? The waste sac is also yellow in colour and is on the bottom of the egg under the umbilical cord. I was freaked out at first when I saw it when helping the first chick hatch. If it is attached to the duckling though, then it is the yolk sac.
Oh geeze I have no idea, I just assumed it was the yolk. There really wasnt much room to see down into the egg to really get a clear picture of what it was but I did notice what looked like the belly button area still pink and looked to be in the middle of the yellow stuff

what are your thoughts on posting a picture, I dont want to jinx myself or should we wait until its officially hatched and not in the intensive care unit?

I'd leave it be until it has officially hatched and not in the intensive care unit, just in case it is the yolk sac.

Wow! This feed reads like a soap opera. I have to get ready for work and I can't stop reading to see if the baby has hatched! Omg! I agree with @OneOleBiddy about there being a shortage of people who care enough. But there still are some good ones out there. I hope the little duck lives a long happy life with you ( I don't think that you will be able to give him up after all of this midwifery!)
