Oh Steven . . you are doing fine and all your feelings are perfectly natura! A lot of it is just being a first timer. I went through all that too. You worry about them all the time and wonder if your giving them the proper care even if they are domestic! I would defiantly figure out how to turn off that light. Even if that means going ahead and putting him outside in a predator proof pen. With that light on he is thinking hey! It's still day time why aren't you playing with me !
