I know. She stopped around June and that’s been it. When do you think she will start again?

They'll start getting longer on the 21st <my birthday>!
Two of mine are laying now, one is probably finishing up and another just started.
As far as smoke, your quick thinking and reaction, like @shawluvsbirds said - they'll be fine. I made the mistake of trying to use my oven earlier in the year - it always smoked out the house cause of something burned in it, and it really smoked out the house that time that I thought I was burning the house down. I grabbed up both, fancy and speedy and had them outside and in the car with windows down while I aired out the house.

I’m actually happy she stopped laying. I was always worried about something going wrong with that. I fugured she would start paying again though

Perhaps her laying is a sign that she's a healthy happy duck. I think I would worry more if she failed to lay her eggs next year. Are you going to eat the eggs? I hear duck eggs are highly regarded.

We did eat them and she gave us an egg every day. I think she took two days off over a several month period lol.

Ok please don’t judge me for bursting out laughing that I scared Lucky.

We bring them in the coop at night and sit with them for about an hour every night before putting them to bed. Lucky always starts to doze and gives a funny little yawn and sticks her tongue out and I finally got it on video.
