Those chickens sure can thresh wheat! I picked a fistful of ripening grain heads from the pasture that the chickens never visit (aka "hawkland"). I couldn't ID them all other than looks like a grain so I just grabbed a bunch from each variety along with some grass seed heads and tossed them in for inspection. They went bezerk beating the grain heads! The kernels were flying and there was much scratching and pecking and general chaos. Absolutely hilarious!
