Just thought I'd share that eventhough I've had my share of "bad stuff" happen, I have not a single thing to complain about.

I have a roof over my head.
I have food in my belly.
I have a wife who loves me.
    I have a job.

Just remember no matter how bad you think you've got it, 95% of the world is worse off than you are.

    Smile and be happy.

Or in the words of my 5 year old niece, "You get what you get so don't throw a fit".

Now THIS is a post. I like your niece's philosophy. Out of the mouths of babes indeed! [IMG]

I always try to look for the love in every situation. Sometimes it's not obvious right away or at all...but, eventually, I am often, amazed! I know that I may not always get what I want...but I always have what I need!

Blessed be in 2008 and beyond. [IMG]

PS Keep that positive attitude. It's catchy...I got it! [IMG]

and no heating oil because of the vet bills " we have to use space heaters to keep our house warm"

Oh no, negative vibes! Yo, save that for your thread.

    Smile and be happy.

The manager punched you, but he didn't kill you.

    Smile and be happy.

You have no heating oil? But you have blankets and space heaters.

    Smile and be happy.

    Have you been fed today?

    Smile and be happy.

One last one, ponder how bad you think you've got it, then consider this:

I Have to admit I have it pretty good in my life where I am now

We just bought a home with some land ( mobile home my family thinks white trash and danger I think MINE and peace we moved out of the city because I did not want my children to grow up in that enviroment)

I have 5 healthy children only youngest 2 live with me right now but the others may be coming back in the forseeable future

I have a husband that adores me ( yesterday was our 2nd anniversary )

I was able to help out my s-i-l out of a bad situation ( I do need to vent about her sometimes but deep down she is all right)

I am in a situation where I can stay at home with my children.

Even tough there may not be bunches of packages under our tree this year the ones there will come from the heart (I am making many of my gifts this year )

All in All I am very Blessed and I think too few of us take the time to seriously consider this as most people live in the rat race of today and are too busy to take the time.

Quote:Yes, the difference between what is *good* or *bad* is all up to us. Like I said in my previous post...often what we want to happen is not what is in store for us. Conversely speaking, what we don't want is often what needs to be. It's a matter of perspective. [IMG]

As Dr Seuss once said: "Don't cry because it's over...smile because it happened." [IMG]

That says it all for me. The job, wife, etc...is gone. There is a reason. It may not be present at the time and maybe it won't be for a LONG time but trust me, there is a reason. Hopefully, you will see it. If you do...and if you are willing to know it for what it is, it will knock your pants off. I guarantee it!

    Peace-

    Pedro

PS Yes, I know this is hard and I struggle with this from time to time...because I want things to happen MY WAY or in MY TIME...but, it gets easier. You have to just trust the process and set your mind to it!

I am positive and doing my best to smile and be happy because I know that the road that I am on will eventually lead me to a better life. Currently I am in between jobs, have been evicted and have 30 days left to find a home for my son and myself and about 50 animals, I have to rehome several dozen cats, and I am trying to keep my minivan from being repossessed. BUT...
I am sure that I will eventually find the path that I am supposed to be on and these hard times are necessary in order for me to be able to appreciate a much more simple life. I am looking forward to that. I am actually excited about it. Happy and Smiling!
