I have one egg in the incubator that is fading in color.. it went from a dark tan to almost a creamy white... is this something I should worry about??? When I candled them there was a chick inside....but now I am worried it may no longer be alive.. any suggestions on what to do???

Never heard of it before. Can you candle again to check? If not, and nothing is smelling in the bator, I would just leave it alone, it is probably fine.

I honestly think it would stink to the high heaven if it was a big ball of bacteria.

I think it is probably fine since it is not cracked or weeping.

sounds like your egg shell is drying out and that's why it's getting lighter.

hummm why would it only be one out of 29 eggs??? The humidity has been between 50 and 60 the entire time... is that to little??? the trays on the bottom of the incubator are full.. and the humidity level in the house is between 50 and 60 as well.....maybe where it is positioned???
