Hello duck people,
I have a problem - I have two ducks that were hatched April of this year. I now see pretty clearly one is a male. I thought I had two females. I just read online that this could be a burden to the poor female during breeding season. All I wanted was a few duck eggs, now my heart is heavy that this poor dear female is going to be burdened by he over sexed guy. Good grief! Thinking of giving them away to a larger group of ducks....ANY thoughts?

Trade or sell your boy and pick up a couple more half-grown girls.
that should solve the problem. if you pick up two more girls that's not much of a burden .
As long as you just want eggs, you can pick two of another breed .you don't need that male to get eggs , the girls are going to lay eggs anyway.
Best
Karen
