I have pips!!!!!

I JUST put my eggs on lockdown yesterday morning, and this afternoon we got pips! About 3 eggs have pips now, and a few others are rocking! I have Speckled Sussex, Cuckoo Marans, Black Copper Marans, and a bunch of mixed breed eggs in there. I am sooooooo excited! I'll let everyone know once I have some actually hatch! This is thrilling! I can't wait for my Marans to hatch, they're what I've been waiting for!!!

Congrats! I think it should be okay as long as they are not sitting on top of them when they are trying to get out of the shell.

Thanks everyone! So far I have a few more pipping, but no one has made any real progress yet. Someone in there is super loud though! They were peeping so loud that they actually made the chicks in my brooder freeze dead in their tracks and look in the general direction of the incubator. That was funny to watch. My younger daughter is doing what she did with our last hatch, she's singing to the chicks. They pip faster when they hear your voice! It worked so well with our last hatch that the chicks were popping out like popcorn, so she decided to try it again this time, and as soon as she started singing, the eggs started rocking and she physically witnessed at least 3 more pips! She has been floating in and out of the room singing to them, and then running off to play. Then she comes back a little while later and sings some more. It's cute hearing the unhatched baby chirping back to her voice. As soon as they are out, I'll have pics. I took a few already of the pipped eggs, but I'm taking pics as we go, and I'll download them once everyone is out. I can hardly wait, it's only day 19 too!!!
