They are actually very hardy little dogs, we have kids always running around her, (i babysit alot). It is so cute seeing a 4 year old luggingone of them around and the yorkies just take it without any objection.

Congrats with the puppies- I breed boxers so I am used to the big dogs- My female had a small pup her last litter and she would not nurse very well at the start I found it helped if I gave the nipple a little pinch to get some milk to come out and put the pup up to it just to help her get the hang of it and make sure you keep them warm and all should go well. They are such cute babies I cant have little dogs here ( boxers would most likely think it was a chew toy ).

I have found that to work well, thankfully the puppy has pretty much gotten the hang of it. Luckily Momma knows what to do, this is her third litter.

Well you've had better luck than me. My one Landseer Charm was in her second week of heat last week and there was not a successful tie. So much for puppies this year. I'm starting to think that I am going to have to do AI now with her. She flags well but always wants to sit. Newfoundlands are really hard to hold up, even with hubby's help and an abdomen sling. You have beautiful babies. Momma and daddy are gorgeous too. Best of luck and prayers are with the little one.

I'm with Southern! I want one!!! Though DH wasn't happy with adding the two kittens recently to the two dogs and 13 chickens... I seriously doubt he'd go for another dog
