Can pullets have a little red in there comb at 6 weeks?

Also will pullets have spur bumps?

THXX

Generally, I think they stay light colored. Spur bumps can be found one some females. Do you have any pictures?

What breed? My Barred Rock pullets had some red at the base of their combs from 3 weeks old! I was very concerned that they might be roosters up until about 16 weeks. All pullets though.

Can we see some pics?
edit: all my pullets have spur bumps

They are golden laced wyandottes and the red is at the top of the comb. but the comb is not huge its flat. Ill post pics later!!

ANY IDEAS.

All chicks will have spur bumps. Some hens will even grow spurs. A little color on the comb is not uncommon. The comb development for the breed is what is more important. If you post some pics, we can try to help.

In my GLW's the red started showing up at 3 weeks in my roos... females a bit later then that, they are 5 weeks now, boys are bright red!

If you have some little roos as well you should compare them. Pics would help, but they might be too young for us to be able to tell the gender.
