Well, thank you!! She is also one of our most faithful layers (her eggs are actually a mauve color) Peeka was one of our first chicks ever hatched by us, so even though she is a mix and a pain sometimes, she is very loved!!

Both the OP's chicken and the chicken above my post look to have Silver Penciled Coloring in their background....

From what I understand, since there are black and white in the Jersey Giant and Orpinton family, this could cause the penciling effect; these are pure breed so I know there is no penciling involved.

Well, I had give some eggs to a few people that didn't care if they had mutt chickens and the babies turned out just like Peeka. Might be worth a shot if you were to breed a Jersey Giant Rooster to a Buff Orpington Hen. Heck, who knows, they may just be the newest designer chicken!
