I like the cat that is looking at the camera like 'What is that?... is that a camera????!!!!, ooh, ooh, take my picture!!'

So at almost 3 and a half weeks, should Einstein be getting wattles yet? I'm not seeing any. Could he be a she??

To be honest i looked at the pictures you have put up and Einstein is starting to look like a girl. its top notch feathers are starting to flair out more like a pullet, for a polish rooster, they dont have as full of a back notch feather and the feathers would be standing up straight more then out.. So i believe you got your self a cute little pullet in development..

yay! And thanks! She is very nosy and loves to hijack peoples shoulders if they bend down for to long.

Well, I had one like Einstein. I posted her picture here on BYC as she grew and she had everyone convinced that she was a boy. And I was waiting for a boy. But Laverne is a very loveable hen.

Struttin, I don't know if I'm sortof seeing this, but the roos I have are all more Crele that the girls. The girls I have are different colors, each on. But I have 2 Crele looking roosters with multi patterns all over them, then another one who looks like the same thing in cream color.

I've often thought about this too. If hens grow up to lay eggs, and roos don't. I wonder if hen vents are slightly longer, or I know hen vents pulse even as a chick. I never looked to see if boy chicks do it. Anyone else think these strange thoughts?

Was a pleasure to be helpfull, i've had so many Polish's i've been able to start telling Hen's from Roosters even as babies now, cause 2 babies that are now 2 months old i called it witch one was going to be a pullet and what one is going to be a rooster.. once you get used to them and watch them grow you will be able to start telling there sex by 1.5-2 months for sure. and once you figure it out more you can tell even as babies but i'm not always 100% correct :p

THE MAGIC HAS BEGUN!

I just set 3 polish eggs under marshie! (at 6:30 PM) she is now the happiest camper alive. smile.png I couldn't resist....LOL.

I called my breeder and asked for ameraucana, polish or australorps, but he only had 3 polish...all others were bought that day.

SO I paid $4.50 for 3 eggs.....it will be well worth it, and hopefully I will end up with cool crossed colors, no frizzles, and NO MIXED BREEDS. (its happened twice...trust me. LOL)

NOW 21 DAYS OF WAITING! due to hatch on the 29th.

these will be my first polish! im so excited!
