I want to have baby chicks soon and hopefully one of my girls go broody and I’ll slip
Some eggs under her
But I don’t know if any will be fertile or not ?
I have not seen my Rooster mating not once ever
So Idk if he’s even doing it

Mating happens very quickly. The rooster bascially bites the hens comb ond hops on her back and vents touch and off he goes. Sometimes you'll hear the hen squawk when she gets bit but if you aren't looking you'll never see it happen. Check for the bullseye as Hysop suggests.

When you collect eggs and crack them open, do they have the bullseye which means they are fertilized?
I never heard of that and I don’t think I’ve ever seen it
Can someone show me a picture

Here’s a picture someone shared here on BYC

I can take a pic of my eggs tomorrow unless someone shares one before me.

Generally all the eggs will be fertile if there is a rooster. My rooster never mates in front of people, because my little cousins ( they are only 5) used to yell at him when they saw it because they thought he was bullying the the hens. Despite this, every single egg I've cooked so far has been fertile. It is probably happening, you just don't see it.
