I haven't been here for awhile

I was raised on a chicken/egg ranch in Southern Cal (before Disneyland) when there were many ranches so I guess you can say I'm not new to chickens. My Dad only raised White Leghorns - great for eggs but in my opinion boring. Oh and for those interested in lights or no lights, my Dad had the lights on 24/7.

I have a total of 13 and am waiting to see how many cockerels I have. So far I know of 2 and hoping for 2 more. Five Buff Orpingtons, four Delaware and four Barred Rocks. These are my first Delaware hens and I love them. They wait for me to come into the hen house and surround my feet. Very gentle and love to be petted.

Actually I now live in Crow, Oregon but I definitely don't raise crows!
