I haz chicks!

My friend and I went to a ranch today and we bound some newborn chicks. OMG they are so cute! Ameraucaunas, Wyandotts, Red Sex links and Chochins. She put them under a broody hen that had a bunch of infertile eggs she was sitting on. I will take mine in a few weeks after they are able to handle being out on their own. I am sooo totally excited. They are sooo cute!

Thanks! Checked on them this morning and the surrogate momma is super happy and the little chickies are following her around.like they should. My friend Krista has had chickens for years, but this is all new to me. I swear there is nothing cuter that this!

They were not quite so crowded when we opened the box but they crowded up after so maybe they were scared or something? It was like 80 yesterday.
