Oh yes, the details!
We have 11 eggs in there, with no idea what kind to expect?!?

My friend was kind enough to let us borrow her incubator and she collected 11 eggs for us (I only asked for 6!). She has dozens of all different kinds of chickens (mostly crosses) that free range on her huge farm. So who knows what we'll get!

And, no, we don't need any more. This just seemed like a good idea at the time!

But it is SO cool to think that we might actually hatch a couple!!

It's a great feeling to have when you know the eggs are going to hatch. I love imagining what is going to come out.

The kids will also really be pleased when they hatch. It will be such an experience for them to watch a chicken grow from egg to grown-up.

Will you be keeping them when they grown-up, or will you take them back to your friends farm?

Update: We have 2 out.

Pretty dadgum cute!

We have 7 chickens now. I'm sure that I could find room for some more.

We can't keep roosters, but I bet we can squeeze a few more girls in.

We have 3 more eggs that have pipped.
