(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I'm new to chickens . I got mine about a month ago.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?I have 2 hens and a rooster

(3) What breeds do you have? Silkies

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Honestly just spending time watching them is my favorite. We got chickens as pets. It's a bonus we get eggs.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Anything artistic, I love to whittle.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm a stay at home mom to a soon to be 5 and 2 year old girls. I have a great dane and mutt named Rooster.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join
I found it looking for chicken groups on Facebook

Welcome to the coop! I use the Forums and Articles tabs at the top of the page to do research. You can get lost for hours. It's nice to know you are minutes away from getting help with questions and emergencies! I always check in the "What's New" section as well at the top of this page. This way I can read how I may have a similar question or help give some advice.
