I had to have someone "talk me down". I was at Farm and Fleet and found myself in the same situation... looking for hardware cloth and oops... turned the corner and there were the chicks.... Oooooooo I wanted the baby barred cochin bantams.... I spent the rest of the day trying to figure out how to stretch my banty coop and yard.... no way ....

.... there is always next year.....

all my chicks are feed store chicks my 6 turned into 22 and range in 2-5 weeks old.

TSC 4 production reds 2 banties(5 weeks old)

local co-op 3 blue andaulsions and one silver spangle hamburg(4 weeks old)

Orshelns 2 feather footed black/cream banties(4 weeks old)

Bucheits one turken, 2 polish, 3 banties(one polish and one recued banty died) (2 weeks old)

TSC 2 silkies and one chipmunk banty(1-2 weeks old) they only had these 3 left in the asst banty bin and i couldn't leave the little chipmunk all alone and they let me just take the 3 since i've been stalking them for silkies for weeks

Bucheits, 2 polish to replace the one I lost since my hubby said it's a shame my little fuzzy top died and i didn't want the one i supposed to get to be lonely

and my hubby wants to get be 2 Ameracan's(sp) and 2 Black Cooper Marans

and i may become a foster mom to a few my hubby helps out one of his good friends and he wants chicken but the way he works he really doesn't have time to raise babies so i told him since i've got everything set up that i would raise them for him all he had to do was supply the feed i told him raisnig chicks is about like growing tomatoes i don't eat them but i love to grow them but i do like chicken
