I just bought crushed granite grit for my chicks - will it be ok?

Hi all, do you think the crushed granite chicken grit is too large for 8 week old buff orpington chicks? I bought scratch too and was hoping to give the grit so it's ok for them to eat. Any advice?

how big is the grit?

I think it's for adult chickens, kinda like fairly small pebble, smaller than 1/8"

you may want to get some of the parakeet gravel and use it as well as the grit
the chicks will pick out what they can eat
if they were following a hen they would eat the pebbles that they can eat

but try the parakeet gravel for them also
