I just experienced the worse situation

Cull them and bury them deep or incinerate them. No matter how much biosecurity you practice with them, there's too great of a risk of slipping up...and your healthy flock WILL get infected. Diseases can be carried on clothing, shoes, hands, vehicle tires and some are airborne such as Infectious Bronchitis. When you saw the sorry conditions these birds were in, you shouldve left the area and let the authorities deal with it.

^^^ That's how I feel also. Sad that people don't take responsibility for their animals.

You sound very knowledgeable about bird care. The chicken is now eating and breathing normal. Would you possibly think it may have been stress or too hot from the heat lamp. She was closer to the heat? Your right, birds are very different. The doctor I worked for wouldnt see birds because he thought they were too fragile and didnt want the liability. Because the horendous situation, I may have over reacted. The tub I chose these two from had no sick or dead birds in it. However, I understand you believe all the birds are a death wish for my flock. I will make you a $5 bet my flock will be healthy one month from today regardless of the health of these two Polish.

She can get a blood sample for testing diseases. Even though her vet doesn't treat birds, they should still be able to send the samples to a lab for her. If they come back negative for respiratory disease then that's the only way I'd keep them. The tests will probably cost more than new birds, but would allow her to save them and join her flock if clear.

But if the respiratory issues appear again (or spread to the other flock) there is little need for testing I think. My understanding is that any respiratory disease in birds is permanent, and even if the symptoms cease for a while, they are always contagious, and symptoms can return. Wild birds can also be infected, even if the quarantine from the other flock is successful, so keeping them for me would be morally worse than the culling them.

Bloodwork testing is limited to mainly Mycoplasma diseases(MG/MS/MM,) Newcastle disease, Hemorrhagic Enteritis virus, and several others at higher costs. A complete necropsy would be best. It's a waste of time and money in this instance.

X2!!!!
I think that you made a very, very, very dangerous decision! You brought to your healthy floc a biological bomb! What if the new comers have Marek's? Or Coryza? You condem your property to be infected forever! I can understand why you did it but you should remember that you can't save every chicken that stupid and cruel people abused! Especially when this chicken put a very high risk on your on chickens!

Oh, I thought they could detect the same things as in a necropsy. Well in that case, there is no way I would trust these birds to remain, even if they didn't show any symptoms. It just isn't worth the risk.

Today is a good day, they are both eating and drinking. There are no breathing problems. They are peeping, acting like my others, yet separate. These Polish came from a bad place. It is reasonable that they felt stressed or sick. Nobody can diagnose my chickens via a forum.

If you buy a chicken, you have no idea of its past! I know and am being dammed for it. I have 12 chickens now, all are from different places and have aquired them in aprox 5 months.

Im a new chicken mom and I love them so much! I just wish that I am not being judged. I take such good care of them and I have spent alot of time with them. They are tame and loving.
