I just hatched seb geese

I just hatched seb geese, Im wondering what temp. the broader should be at. I have chick starter should I add water to it. They hatched early early this morning.

i always just hang a brooder bulb and if they are all around the brooder then they are comfortable. gathered in a huddle they are cold and if they are trying to stay away from the heat it is too warm for them.

no you don't add water to the chick starter. just food and water in two separate containers.

The temperature should be around 95F right now. Some people like to put water in the chick starter for the first day. I do. I think it makes it more palatable. Some babies forget to take a sip of water after they eat, and they can choke. I'd do what you're comfortable with.
