    With a double yolk egg can two chicks develop and survive? I have gotten two of them in three days. Everyone I ask says they don't know and wondered the same thing. Deb

    Yes, two chicks can develop and both live - however it is extremely rare for both chicks to pip/zip, hatch and live.

    It CAN happen, but hardly ever does...not worth the risk...eat them suckers!

    Imp--I read the thread and it was great!! Thank you!

    Wisher1000--I don't have a rooster so that is what happens. When my husband crack open the first one he was amazed that there could be two yolks.

    I incubated one about a year ago.

    Both embryos were alive at day 13, but died shortly thereafter.
