Hello! I have been reading your site for about a week, and just joined today. We live in Upstate SC and got two Welsh Harlequin ducklings 2 1/2 weeks ago from a farm in NC. We have two sons who are 10 and 9 years old, and we all LOVE the ducklings! This is a photo from their first week with us. They are now 22 days old and growing so fast! These are our first ducklings ever! We have a pond behind our house, and used to have 2 Pekins for years that our neighbors cared for, but they died about a year ago. Our lake was lonely without ducks. Thank you for this BYC site and all the helpful information! I also have several good books that I read every night!

I am new to chickens, but we do have wild ducks and canadian geese that visit our creek. Sometimes they hang around for awhile and sometimes we don't see them very often. The wild turkey like to eat the leftover grain that the cows leave too.
