Thank you, and again I thank all of you, all what I can do now is just pray, even my mom does not want me to go vist them now, she told me no you wait where you are now, bless her heart and bless the hearts of all mothers, they care about us even when they are in the worst situations , I tried for years to bring her here, but she allways told me ( My Son I am 70some years old, and I can't leave all my grandkids and all your brothers and sisters to be with you, what I will do about all of them and about my friends, and I am too old to learn english now) and that was the reason she does not live here with me.

Thats so sad, Omran..
You must miss and worry so much about your mother and family... :(
I'm sorry.. :hugs

Hope your family and relatives over there will be OK despite of the impending war. She is never too old to learn English but she has her family to help her out or she just don't want to leave her home country where she is comfortable among her people for years.

Omran your family will be in my prayers along with all the innocent people in harms way, not only in Syria but throughout the Middle East nations.

What's going on in Syria is very unfortunate, and when compared to the other Middle Eastern & North African civil wars, it has seemed to go on for much longer. I'm hoping it'll all be over soon and all citizens, especially your friends and family, will be living without as much fear. I'll keep you guys in my thoughts.

Omran: You are indeed very fortunate to be where you are. I have looked at your web site and you have a great deal to be thankful for and should also be proud of you and your family for what you have accomplished. It is certainly unfortunate that Syria is headed towards a full fledged civil war and I know that you realize that the best thing for you and your family is to stay where you are and hope that your family that remains in Syria will be OK. I can assure you that you will be able to provide much more benefit to your family by being here then trying to go back thinking you can help them out. I take a lesson from this and hope others will also. The United States and Syria have not been friends so the peoples in each country will generally have bad feelings about each other. We can look at you in your web site and we can hear you express your feelings of concern for your people and love for your family, all not one bit different from all of us here. The people here really do not care where you are from because they know you have pain and they want to do what little they can to ease it. Countries fight battles with each other, but for the most part when we as individuals come face to face with the "enemy" we usually find that he is just like us and we are just like him. I wish you continued good fortune in this great country and will hope, for your sake, that the Syrian people can survive this upheaval and that your family comes through it unharmed.
