Their coop is clean and huge. No drafts but has a big window for good ventilation. Their feed is from a farmer and is absolutely amazing stuff. They get veggie scraps etc. all of them healthy as can be. We have a 20 acre farm and they range in an acre orchard so no predation. I noticed she's always been the lowest in order, she's an Easter egger. We have over 70 hens, ducks and geese so it's hard to see all the chickens daily. I noticed how she's a loner and the others pick in her a bit so I always give her extra snacks and love and today I noticed she won't blink when I move my finger near her eyes. She doesn't have mareck eye and she's a year and a half old. I have lost 2 hens in 2 years to sudden death, none showed mareck symptoms at all. What else could it be? She eats, walks, poops fine! But now I notice she's more comfortable in areas she seems to navigate better because it's where she usually hangs out.
