It somewhere in Michigan, thought someone might be interested. I don't know anything about the poster.

I can see in the link only the head. But for sure it is not a head of a pure 3 year old Java.
Regards
Reinhold

That is kind of weird that they don't have the picture of the actual bird on there since they say the picture is just a representitive...I would be suspicious.

Buyer always beware. But as far as the no picture, this is Michigan and many of the pea people I've run across here are like me, old non techies, so that part wouldn't worry me.
Somebody not far from me is advertising white 2012 hatch peas, is it possible to determine the sex of white peas at that age?

I would think if they were early hatches you could *might* see a difference in tail feather length. For example, I think, but I'm not sure, if I put my male and female that hatched in June side by side that his tail feathers *might* be longer. You also *might* be able to sex them based on weight/size. My June hatch male weighs over 4kg, but his sister is closer to 3kg.

Okay, I just looked at my male that hatched in August and he has two tail feathers that are clearly "male", so I would think that you would be able to tell, but remember, I'm pretty new to this.

I'd go check them out if they were close enough.
