One of the neighbors is getting up there in her years and can no longer be shleping water put to the coop in the winter do she has decided to pack it an and I got ALL HER BARRED ROCKS that hatched in August 2010....

They also not be lay? Are they moulting? It is possible that your wonderful, elderly neighbor didn't wish to wait them through this period again. That said, even if they are in a down time, and do expect the move to stagger them a wee bit, still.... They are primed for a second laying year or very high quality eggs. I think they may be coming into a moult.... some of them are looking rough...BUT when i went in to pick them up there were about 9 eggs in the nests...I have known her for a few years.. hubby clears her driveway when its bad... when they were hatching she called my daughter over to watch them hatch.​
