I have 13. BRs .. They started at week 16 laying and now are 24 weeks. . So far I have 8 laying normally - I think! - another newbie or 2 as of today , that makes 9 or 10 and then the others - total 13 that haven't started yet . Along with 3 almost 5.5 month old female Ducks .
I keep finding these deflated egg things on the floor of my coop. It's always like 2 eggs attached to each other . And I found some outside in the yard the other day .. Tonight my son found this and I think this is what the deflated things are ??? Only it wasn't popped yet...
Wth is going on??? They are free range . Supplemented w layer feed and given oyster shell?

Sometimes the pullets lay soft eggs when they first start laying. Even adult hens sometimes throw a weird one but it is more common when they first start. Give them a few weeks and everything should be normal.
