I guess I'm not the only one that does things like that but doesn't it make you feel any better. I feel like I'm going to H*&@ for doing it. I guess we live and learn from our mistakes. I still have the urge to go get 6 more.
Everyone makes mistakes we are only human and we learn from mistakes. When I first began with chicks i took 2 chicks (Older about 7 weeks) I was rehoming and placed them in a pet taxi over night till morning when I was taking them to there new home. It was in the summer..My sister fell that morning and broke her leg and I ran off FORGETTING the chicks when I got home the babies had died from the heat. I will NEVER forget that and will never make the same mistake. It's a hard lesson learned but its one that will teach you too. Don't beat yourself up too bad even though we do anyways its best to know your not alone.

If that is all it takes, you will be joined by most of us there, Add me to the list of boiled fish, and turtles and..... Go look it will make you feel better, and I bet you bring some home, and they will be just fine.

My son had a pet crawdad, LOVED that thing, cleaned her cage out with PINE-SOL.
Naturally, you know what happened to her a few minutes after she went back in . . . he still isn't over it, and he is 33 years old. He still thinks they are the best pets you can have. Maybe he needs help . . .
Oh Ginger, let's talk about the glass fish bowl I dropped in the street while moving into a new house a few years back...a large piece of glass from the bowl ended up cutting the goldfish in HALF to boot!!
It was like a bad movie scene moment. I was mortified!! The kids were little and screaming in the street, I started tearing up while still holding another box on my hip, neighbors where coming out of their front doors to see the excitement..."HI, WE'RE YOUR NEW NEIGHBORS....!"
We laugh about it now..but it took a LONG TIME.
Don't you worry....it was a mistake and it is obvious how torn up you are
Chin up lady, you have even more experience under your belt to take the best ever care of your flock!
As long as we learn from our mistakes they aren't so much mistakes but, something to do better at next time. So sorry to hear you lost baby chicks though.
