Awesome! My two BBW hens give me a kiss every night when I put them to bed. I say give mommy a kiss good night and they do. I grew up raising turkeys so I knew from little how special they were. Right now I'm scheming on how to keep my three favorties. I sold 17 of the 25 I originally had, but Gracie, Eva and Big Boy are my babies. My husband HATES mine and my sons poultry, so whatever I do I will need to do myself. Next year I plan to build a permanent coop to keep some special breeders. Just started with the special a bit early.

Great pic! We did turkeys for the first time this year and I am absolutely LOVING them, they are just amazing, I love that they follow me around and I love their noises.

They spent a day penned up here and decided they no longer wanted to stay in the pen i built.

fine whatever. The next couple days They stayed close and went in the coop with the chickens with no issues. I got held up at work last night and called BIL to close the coop. He knows very little about my birds and probably didn't check to see if they were in the coop. I got home a few hours ago and opened the coop. tada no turkeys. My coop is predator proof so I would assume they just didnt go in last night. My dad said they followed him around my yard yesterday when he was working on my fence.


I dont have neighbors.

I don't think that a couple days is long enough for them to realize that that is their new home... hopefully you can find them out in the fields or something... I would go looking for them... try calling them by rattling food in a can etc...

truly its not but i didn't have a good way to contain them and they stayed around. Ill be looking in the woods tomorrow and see if i see them. Ill have a good pen built for the next ones.
