I know I am a cochin...but what kind??....

It's a cross, both cochins and brahmas have yellow feet and yellow beaks, that bird has black feet. I can't tell if it's a pea comb or small single comb, brahmas have pea combs, cochins have single, it does resemble a dark brahma over a cochin.....IMO;)

Yes I agree too about her being a cross... But if it were something other than dark Brahma in a pure breed, like a Cochin(it isn't one though maybe mixed with one) it would be called silver pencilled

Huh? Different type earlobes? Can you explain a bit?

I dunno I read it in a book somewhere and it had me stumped, but when I looked at the hens their earlobes looked more elongated. Probably just one of those pieces of misinformation floating around out there. sorry

I still think she is a dark brahma, probably hatchery stock, thats why I didnt say anything about the leg color

I just noticed the feet color and she does have too much leg feathering for a brahma. With the brahmas it's only suppose to be on the outside of the leg and foot.

LOL! OK! I was pretty confused for a second about the earlobe.

I believe it is all Asiatics that have that. My Brahmas, Cochins, and Langshans have those earlobes that do not lie flat.
