Quackers has been pulling feathers to make her nest. she's got a ton of fluff in there. so she just got out of the bath and is drenched!! is this because of her pulling feathers or is it her oil gland? i can see her gland right now. her back feathers just look aweful. she's so pretty, but she doesn't look very pretty right now lol. i can see a lot of pink too. she's preening right now.

I'm sure she knows what she is doing, hopefully..... Just watch that she doesn't drown in the water.

Good Luck,
Mike

She may have spent too long in the bath. The feathers are waterproof- but only for so long- My ducks look pretty bad when they have been stuck outside in the rain all day. She can hop out of the bath by herself- so could have got out sooner if she wanted too- but she was obviously enjoying her swim. Let her preen herself and see how she looks dry again... It might not look so bad. She will have been pulling the fluffy feathers rather then the longer ones like her winigs etc...- so wouldnt make too much difference.
Let us know how she is an an hour....

i'm sure she does too, i was just wondering if her oil gland is okay or if that's normal for a ducking going into broody mode
