I know it takes a while but...

I noticed a tiny piece of egg shell missing from one of my eggs in the incubator at 11am. Its still in the exact same condition as it was this morning. Im trying to patiently wait but after i had like 8 eggs that all died that might have been able to be saved had i intervened, im a little paranoid.

Some times it can take around 24 hours from pip to zip. Just be patient. I know its tempting to want to help but jsut wait ahile longer.

By opening the incubator you change the humidity and decrease their chances of their getting out on their own.
By helping them out of the shell you risk hatching out weak, sickly or deformed chicks which presents its own problems.
